Mark Ghee

Mark is a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 20 years experience. He graduated in 1986 at Manchester Withington School of Physiotherapy, becoming a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and Health Professions Council. He is also an accredited member of the Acupunture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice. He established the Blackpool Physiotherapy Centre in 2001.
Mark gained extensive clinical experience and knowledge from working in the NHS, Private sector, Industry and elite professional sports environments. He has completed a wealth of post graduate courses including Kinetic Control, The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine, The Mc Kenzie Institute of Spinal Management, and Acupunture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Rick Yates

BSc (Hons) MCSP HPC Reg, AACP.
Rick trained at Coventry University and qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2002. He started his career at Blackpool Victoria Hospital where he secured a broad grounding and vast experience in many different physiotherapy disciplines eventually leaving as a Senior Physiotherapist. He has been working as a private physiotherapist at Blackpool Physiotherapy Centre for five years but also currently continues to work within the NHS setting in Lancaster. He has been specializing within the musculoskeletal field for 8 years and regularly partakes in postgraduate courses in order to continue enhancing his professional development, maintaining a high level of knowledge and to keep up-to date with new treatment techniques.
Rick frequently works with a wide variety of patients and has extensive techniques of how best to treat a range of injuries and uses a combination manual therapy, soft tissue mobilisation and exercise therapy all with emphasis on long-term management, maintenance and education.
He is a member of the Health Professions Council and Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.

Clare Longton

BSc (Hons) MCSP HPC reg PGDip Inj Th
Clare qualified and became chartered in 1999 from the University of Bradford. She has worked within the Practice since 2005 in addition to her current Clinical Team Leader and Specialist role in the NHS in Royal Lancaster Infirmary. She actively continues her professional development through an array of Post-Graduate courses and teaching. Her clinical experience includes treatment of widespread musculoskeletal conditions and semi-professional sports injury management.
She is a Specialist in the management of the Complex Upper Quadrant (Shoulder and upper limb injuries including post Oncology procedures and Maxillo-facial including Temporo-Mandibular Dysfunction). As a Member of the North West Upper Limb Group and the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Temporo-Mandibular Disorders she has links with a range of Specialists Surgeons across the region.
Her Post Graduate training includes Acupuncture for pain management, Kinetic Control, Orthopaedic Medicine where she qualified as a Member of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine Post Graduate Certificate in 2005 and a Post Graduate Diploma in Orthopaedic Medical Injection therapy in 2010.

Aleksander Sklepowicz

BSc, MSc, MCSP, MIMDTP
Alex graduated from University of Medical Science in 2003 with a MSc Physiotherapy degree. He secured his first physiotherapy role at the Orthopedic and Rehabilitation Clinical Hospital along with inpatient and outpatient department in the United and Military Hospital in Elblag,Poland where he gained experience in a range of physiotherapy disciplines.
Since 2008 Alex has been working as a Lead Physiotherapist for a Fleetwood Rugby Union Club where he gained experience in the management of acute sport injuries. He has been working as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist at Grant Smith Therapy Centre for the last five years. Alex currently continues to work in Blackpool Teaching Hospital as a Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Educator with special clinical interest in Critical Care. In 2015 Alex has also joined Blackpool Physiotherapy Centre. As a private physiotherapist Alex provides professional treatment of musculoskeletal condition with special clinical interest in the mechanical spinal disorders.
Alex is a credentialled clinician of McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy and since graduation he has taken a wide variety of courses to improve his clinical knowledge and skills including Mulligan Concept, Myofascial Trigger Point Technique, Post Isometric Relaxation Technique, Kinesio Taping and variety of Cardio-Pulmonary training.
Alex is registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, Health and Care Professions Council and McKenzie Institute (Poland, England).

Vivien Birtwistle

HDCR. DNM. MA
Viv worked as a radiographer for 12 years and following injuries recognized how effective rehabilitation through Pilates could be. Initially training with Modern Pilates, in 2008 (CYQ level 3), as a group instructor she then qualified as a ‘One-to-One’ Pilates instructor.
Viv regularly attends courses with the Australian Physiotherapists Pilates Institute and has interests in Dr Paul Lam’s Tai Chi for arthritis.
She specializes in small classes of 6 or less which are tailored to a range of mixed abilities. The classes are aimed at rehabilitation focusing on developing core awareness and strength to achieve optimal functional movement.

Rebecca Davis

BSc (Hons), MSc
Rebecca trained at The University of Central Lancashire and qualified as a Sports Therapist in 2014 she then went on to further her academics graduating in 2017 with a Master’s Degree in Sport and Exercise Science.
Rebecca has worked at The Blackpool Physiotherapy Centre since 2014 in addition to working abroad at The Olympic Youth Development Centre in Zambia and also The Youth Football World Cup in Sweden.
Since graduating in 2014 she has gained vast experience working within professional sport, in particular, professional football at clubs including Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool and Bury.
Rebecca works with a wide range of patients from the elite to recreational using manual therapy, soft tissue and massage therapy as well as exercise rehabilitation techniques. In addition, she is also a Level 3 qualified Personal Trainer offering a range of services from weight management to strength and conditioning.
